I am a pulmonary and critical care physician, meaning I am a lung and ICU doctor. I take care of patients in the hospital, both in the ICU and during their recovery afterward.

I attended Williams college and Harvard Medical School. I completed Internal Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, then fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in Pittsburgh. I hold an MS in clinical research and spent nearly a decade conducting clinical and health services research, seeking to understand the intersection of health policy and critical care delivery.

I am now a clinical leader focused on creating an environment in which we can thrive as health care practitioners, providing the best and most compassionate care to our patients and their families. I have a decade of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, clinical leadership, and physician well-being work.

In the wake of a medical illness, I rediscovered a passion for narrative medicine, started writing again, and telling my story as a patient and physician.

I live with my wife and four rambunctious children.
